Folepi's Winter Wonderland runs through New Year's Eve at the VFW Post 2078 Park off Springfield Road (located at 123 Par 3 Lane in East Peoria). The drive-through electric park is the Festival of Lights' signature event featuring the majority of the Parade of Lights floats and many other lighted displays. Christmas on the Ghost Front will take place on Saturday at Sommer Park (located at 6329 N. Koerner Rd. in Edwards) from 10 am - 4 pm. Featuring World War II veterans, historians, and re-enactors of the days leading up to the Battle of the Bulge with reenactment at Sommer Park's Pioneer Homestead. The Klondike Festival will take place on Saturday on the Peoria RiverFront from 11 am - 5 pm. Admission is $5 for adults, free for children 12 & under as well as Jingle Bell Run/Walk participants Featuring live music by the Feudin' Hillbillys and JammSammich, a Rivermen Hockey Puck Shot, a Best Beard Contest, an Ice Stein Challenge, life-sized beer pong plus the Klondike Race, a human dog-sled race made up of teams of 5 who will pull sleds across the RiverFront. Toys for Tots Holiday Extravaganzawill take place on Saturday at Studio 29 (located at 6523 N. Galena Road in Peoria) from 4 - 7 pm to collect toy donations for less fortunate children in the Peoria area.
