The 34th Annual Congressional Art Show will take place in the Peoria Public Library Main Library Gallery during normal library hours through April 24th.  Entries from high school students from the 18th Congressional District will be exhibited. The work on display will represent a variety of mediums. The winning entry will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C.For more information, visit www.peoriapubliclibrary.org

Jim Maloof's Legacy of Love for the Arts in Central Illinois will be presented tonight (Thursday) at Northwoods Community Church (located at 10700 N. Allen Road in Peoria) from 6:30 - 9:30 pm. The family-friendly event will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and feature performances from more than 100 local performers including the Peoria Ballet, ICC Vocal Jazz, Pulse of Peoria Drumline, ICC Readers' Theatre, The Maloof Granddaughter Trio and more. An Old Fashioned Barn Dance will be held at Camp Wokanda in Mossville on Friday beginning at 7 pm.
