Smoke on the Mountain continues tonight (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and runs through June 7. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sundays, doors & the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. The 2015 Annual Arts In Education Spring Celebration continues every weekday through May 22 at the Peoria County Courthouse Plaza beginning at 11 am each day. Celebrating the talents of Pre-K through 12th grade students from seven Central Illinois counties, over 12,000 students perform, exhibit, and demonstrate their talents in the fine arts and applied arts during the six-week event. The 51st Annual Rennick Juried Art Show continues at the Peoria Public Library Main Library Gallery in downtown Peoria during regular hours which are Monday - Saturday at 9 am - 6 pm. Ride for the Cure will take place on Saturday beginning at 9 am at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie where riders will meet until 11 am. A police-escorted parade leaves at Noon for Walters Brothers Harley Davidson for a party featuring refreshments, entertainment, a bike show and a live auction. The Annual Fort Crevecoeur Spring Rendezvous and Gathering will be held at Fort Crevecoeur (located at 301 Lawnridge Dr. in Creve Coeur on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am - 5 pm. Experience the way of life in the area from 1680 to 1850 with traders & American Indians from the Peoria area through encampments, demonstrations an open air flea market and live music. The Skill Sprout Academy Science & Technology Open House (located at 8500 N. Knoxville Avenue in Peoria) will feature hands on exhibits of classes available at the school on Saturday from 10 am - 1 pm. The 1st Annual George Jacob Gut Buster 5k & Fun Run will begin on Saturday at UFS (located at 1800 SW Adams St. in Peoria) beginning at 9 am. Participants will be able to take "pit stops" along the way and partake in junk food snacks with "Brewapalooza" from 11 am - 3 pm following the race.
