Peoria Historical Society's River City Trolley Tour winds along Grandview Drive takes place every Friday in July beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights). The "Naughty to Nice Tour" traces triumphs through time from the 1920's to the present; it entails stories of the city's gangster era, including driving by the site of Peoria's most notorious crime scene: The Bernie Shelton murder. Running on Saturdays in July beginning at 11 am, the tour leaves from Kelleher's Irish Pub, (located at 619 SW Water Street near State St. in downtown Peoria). And the "Roll Out the Barrel Tour" takes you through the earliest sections of downtown Peoria and into the Warehouse District where you'll discover facts about distilling in Peoria running Saturdays in July beginning at 1:30 pm leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub also. Sculpture Walk Peoria will lead free guided tours of the 15 sculptures that are on display for 12 months on Washington Street between Oak and Liberty every Saturday through the summer. The Dinosaurs in Motion exhibit opens on Saturday and will run through October 4 at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. An interactive exhibition for visitors of all ages, it's a blend of art, science and innovation. Featuring 14 fully interactive, recycled metal dinosaur sculptures with exposed mechanics inspired by actual fossils: you control the action of the dinosaurs, including a 44-foot T-rex. Peoria Sunday Morning League will host a Community Baseball Celebration at Dozer Park on Saturday beginning at 5 pm.
