A Dinosaur Egg Hunt will take place in conjunction with the Dinosaurs in Motion exhibit at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Sunday beginning at 1 pm. Families are welcome to search the Sun Plaza for dinosaur eggs and then become paleontologists as you work together to excavate the treasure inside. Admission is a donation of any size to participate in this event with proceeds going towards funding similar programs. Regular admission still applies to visit the museum, which is $11 for adults, $10 for seniors citizens 60+ or $9 for youth 3-17 plus a $5 additional fee for the dinosaur exhibit. The Heart of Illinois Fair continues through Saturday at Expo Gardens (located at 1601 West Northmoor Road in Peoria).  Attractions include a carnival, live entertainment, a bags tournament, a kiddie tractor pull, and a petting zoo. Peoria Historical Society's River City Trolley Tour winds along Grandview Drive takes place every Friday in July beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights).  The "Naughty to Nice Tour" traces triumphs through time from the 1920's to the present; it entails stories of the city's gangster era, including driving by the site of Peoria's most notorious crime scene: The Bernie Shelton murder. Running on Saturdays in July beginning at 11 am, the tour leaves from Kelleher's Irish Pub, (located at 619 SW Water Street near State St. in downtown Peoria).  And the "Roll Out the Barrel Tour" takes you through the earliest sections of downtown Peoria and into the Warehouse District where you'll discover facts about distilling in Peoria running Saturdays in July beginning at 1:30 pm also leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub also.  Cost for each tour is $15 (including a $1 tip for the driver) and seniors 65 and older ride the trolley free with proof of age and a regular ticket purchase. A Sightseeing Cruise will take place on the Spirit of Peoria on Friday, Saturday & Sunday with boarding beginning at 1:30 pm and the cruise running from 2 - 3:30 pm. Slide the City will take place from 4 - 11 pm on Friday and from 11 am - 6 pm on Saturday on Main Street in Peoria between Crescent Ave. and Kumpf Blvd. An inflatable 1,000 foot slip & slide ride will be the featured attraction at a block party which will also include games, food and music.
