The Illinois State Fair will be held on the Illinois State
Fairgrounds tonight (Thursday) with a preview beginning at 6 pm and
runs Friday through Sunday, August 23 from 7 am - midnight each

The Peoria Historical Society will be hosting "Americana Rhythms on
the River" featuring live music by Switchback on the Spirit of

Fogelberg Celebration Weekend to honor the musician and Peoria

Greetings from the West", a 1991 concert performance, will be
screened at the Peoria Riverfront Museum beginning at 6:30 pm. On
Friday at 10 am, a plaque containing lyrics to one of his songs
will be unveiled at the Peoria Heights Observation Tower. The
foundation will also hold a tribute concert and fundraiser on

Peoria Historical Society's Grandview Drive & Springdale Cemetery
Trolley Tour winds along Grandview Drive and takes place every
Friday in August beginning at 11 am leaving from Harp & Thistle
(located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights). The "Abraham
Lincoln & the Civil War Tour" tells the story of Lincoln's visits
to Peoria, the Civil War troops and Camp Peoria & Camp Lyon where
they trained. You'll visit Springdale Cemetery and see the final
resting place of Civil War veterans. Running on Saturdays in August
beginning at 11 am, the tour leaves from Kelleher's Irish Pub,
(located at 619 SW Water Street near State St. in downtown Peoria).
And the "Roll Out the Barrel Tour" takes you through the earliest
sections of downtown Peoria and into the Warehouse District where
