A Twist of Lemmon, a
true father/son story of the Golden Age of Hollywood featuring Chris Lemmon as his father Jack Lemmon continues tonight (Thursday) through Sunday at the Apollo Theatre (located at 311 S. Peoria Historical Society's
River City Trolley Tour will wind along Grandview Drive every Friday in September beginning at 11 am leaving from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights). Their "Naughty to Nice Tour" traces triumphs through time from the 1920's to the present featuring stories of the city's gangster era including driving by the site of Peoria's most notorious crime scene: The Bernie Shelton murder. The 20th Annual Oktoberfest

The NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick
Competition will take place on Saturday at Logan Recreation Center beginning at 1 pm. The competition gives young football fans a chance to exhibit their skills and is open to boys and girls ages 6-15 with five separate age divisions (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, and 14-15). The boys and girls compete against each other in punting, passing, and place kicking. The winners are determined based on distance and accuracy.
