The Annual Chrysanthemum Show
at Luthy Botanical Garden (located at 2520 N Prospect Rd. in Peoria) continues from 10 am - 5 pm every day through November 8. Grandview Drive & Springdale Cemetery Trolley Tour will wind along Grandview Drive every Friday in October beginning at 11 am leaving from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights). Wildlife Scary Park will
take place from 5 - 9 pm on Friday and Saturday nights and from 4 - 8 pm on Sunday. The 17th Annual
Punkin Chuckin Contest will take place at 16339 N. Springfield Road (at the corner of Allentown and Springfield Rd in Rural Tazewell County) on Saturday beginning at 10 am. Betty Friedan's Mark on
History, a lecture featuring Barb Drake, retired Journal Star editor, will take place on Sunday at the Peoria Riverfront Museum Giant Screen Theater beginning at 2 pm. Admission is free. Drake interviewed Friedan at length in 1999 and is a member of the Betty Friedan Hometown Tribute Committee, which is dedicated to preserving her memory in her hometown of Peoria.
