The 24th Annual Peoria Jaycees
International Beer Festival featuring hundreds of quality craft micro brews and import beers will be held at Exposition Gardens on Friday from 6 - 10 pm where you can taste over 100 brews from all around the world plus enjoy live music. Tickets for the Friday night event include a food voucher and are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. The event on Saturday is from 1 - 8 pm and tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at door. The 69th Annual
Gridiron Dinner will take place at the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette in downtown Peoria tonight (Thursday) with cocktails beginning at 6:15 pm and dinner at 7 pm. The 27th
annual APACHE Homeschool Convention will held at Grace Presbyterian Church (Located on Rt. 91 in Peoria) on Friday and Saturday beginning at 8:30 am. Featuring homeschooling speakers to offer encouragement and tools for those considering homeschooling, there will be over 20 exhibitors with curriculum and supplies. Help raise awareness
of child abuse at Hands Around the Courthouse at the Peoria County Courthouse Plaza on Friday beginning at Noon. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and this is the ninth year that Youth Services Network Panel has hosted the event to draw attention to the 872 pending child abuse and neglect cases in Peoria County. Peoria Team RWB Chapter will participate
in a group 3 mile Fun Run/Walk at place at Detweiler Park on Saturday beginning at 11:30 am. In conjunction with the nationwide Run as One, the run will benefit Team RWB, Team Rubicon and The Mission Continues who aid military veterans.
