The Tremont Turkey Festival
will take place through Sunday in downtown Tremont. Hours are through 10 pm tonight (Thursday), 11 am - 10 pm on Friday, 6:30 am - 10 pm on Saturday and 9 am - 5 pm on Sunday. Featuring the Miss Tremont Pageant on Thursday night, a pancake & sausage breakfast, a 5k race, horseshoe tournament, an antique tractor pull, a craft show, a community church service, car show and parade on Sunday plus a carnival, live entertainment there will also be food including turkey and strawberry

The Bach Festival
continues celebrating its 14th year in 2016 with performances through Sunday celebrating the renowned composer. The 8th Annual Pasta & Pizza
Party for St. Jude will take place at Barrack's Cater Inn (located at 1224 W Pioneer Pkwy. in Peoria) tonight (Thursday) from 5 - 7:30 pm. Cost is $12 per plate and carryout meals are available. Children five and under eat free and ages six to 16 are $6. All proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Lakeview Aquatic Center (located at

Coal Black Exotics
will take place at the Alpha Park Library (located at 3527 South Airport Road in Bartonville) beginning at 10 am. A family-run, education-oriented business that uses live reptiles to provide demonstrations to groups of all ages, admission is free. The goal of the program is to provide entertainment and education, while also dispelling the common myths and fears associated with reptiles.
Bubble Blast will take
place in the Sun Plaza of the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Friday from 11 - 11:30 am. A unique family-oriented demonstration all about bubbles, the event is geared towards pre-schoolers.
