A Summertime
Sangria Record Smash will take place on Friday at the Grand Prairie HyVee from 4 - 10 pm. A benefit for the Illinois CancerCare Foundation, they will attempt to break the record of the largest sangria plus there will be a BBQ throwdown, music from the Tri-County Tailgaters, bags and more. Le Cabaret de Comedie Etrange

The Peoria
German-American Society will host their Annual Volksfest at Hickory Grove Park (located at 12403 Hickory Grove Rd. in Dunlap) on Sunday from Noon to 8 pm. Featuring live entertainment by Ratskeller Brummers, Lindenhof Echoes, Peoria Volkstänzer, and Grammy Nominee, Eddie Korosa from Chicago. A Classic Car and Motorcycle Cruis'n will run from Noon to 5 pm with domestic & import cars, trucks & motorcycles made prior to 1990 plus a Fine Arts and Craft Village
featuring a variety of handmade items from local handicrafters. Other activities will include soccer, folk dancing, a 50/50 rafffle, a shooting tent and a kinder park for kids. The Annual
Fireworks Spectacular at Glen Oak Amphitheatre will take place on Sunday from 4 - 10 pm with live entertainment and fireworks. Entertainment includes the PPD Explosion Cheer Team from 4 - 4:30 pm, the cast of Community Children's Theatre's "Singin' in the Rain" from 4:30 - 5 pm, Jammsammich from 5 - 7:30 pm and the Municipal Band Patriotic Concert at 8 pm. The Red, White & Boom
Fireworks Display will take place on the Peoria riverfront on Monday beginning at 4 pm with a kids zone, a bags tournament, street performers and live entertainment by Spring Creek Station from 6 - 8 pm. The synchronized fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9:30 pm. Admission is free. The VIP viewing area will take place from 5:30 - 10 pm including food, soda, water, beer and wine plus face painting, a balloon artist and live entertainment. The ELITE 4th
of July Outreach Fundraiser will take place at the RiverPlex Recreation and Wellness Center on Monday beginning at 5 pm. For $40 admission, you'll receive reserved parking with up to 4 people per car, exclusive use of the RiverPlex facility plus exclusive access to the riverfront lawn for viewing the fireworks. Enjoy the rock climbing wall, swimming, XR-Game Zone, indoor basketball and volleyball, totally tots indoor playground and elevated indoor viewing area for the fireworks.
