The 50th
Annual Morton Pumpkin Festival will be held on the Jefferson School Grounds in downtown Morton tonight (Thursday), beginning at 11 am on Friday and at 6:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. Featuring a carnival, live music, the Miss Morton & Pumpkin Princess pageants, a parade on Saturday, the Pumpkin Idol competition, a craft fair plus food including pumpkin specialties such as pumpkin chili, baked beans, pasta salad, pumpkin ice cream, shakes, cheesecake, cookies and of course, pumpkin

A Global Mindset for a 21st
Century Education will be presented by the Peoria Area World Affairs Council at Bradley University's Westlake Hall, Room 130 tonight (Thursday) beginning at 6:30 pm. Peace in Peoria Music Festival will be held at the Glen Oak Amphitheatre (located at 2218 N Prospect Rd. in Peoria) on Saturday from 4 - 8 pm.
