Memphis continues at Corn Stock Theatre tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 pm through Saturday at 7:30 pm each night. The winner of four 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, the plot was inspired by actual events in the underground 1950s dance clubs. Memphis tells the story of a white radio DJ, Huey Calhoun, who adores taboo Black music and eventually falls in love with a beautiful Black singer. The singer, Felicia Farrell, is desperate to find her big break. The
unlikely couple rises quickly in the Memphis music scene but trouble arises as they earn the attention of racists. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students 18 & under with ID and are available at the Corn Stock Box Office, by calling 309-676-2196 or online at http://cornstocktheatre.com
