Celebration of Women in the Arts continues through November 19 throughout the Peoria area. Highlighting the wide range of creative talent among women in Peoria, explore this special selection of visual, performing and literary arts events and programs. Hayrides and Hotdogs
will take place tonight (Thursday) at Sommer Park (located at 6329 N. Koerner Road in Edwards) from 5 - 7 pm. Enjoy roasted hot dogs, chips, carrots, baked beans, marshmallows and drinks, a hayrack ride and mid-1800s Autumn play party activities including sack races and fortune telling. "The Vietnam War: The Big
Picture" will be discussed at the Peoria Public Library North Branch (located at 3001 West Grand Parkway in Peoria) tonight (Thursday) beginning at 6 pm. Presented by Dr. Sharon MacDonald, a retired history professor from Illinois State University, the program is a part of an America Library Association Grant Award which is designed to help viewers gain a broader understanding as they watch episodes of the 10-part PBS documentary by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick.

Little Women, The Musical

Trick or Treat Main Street
will take place in downtown Morton in conjunction with Fourth Friday: Tazewell Art Loop on Friday from 5 - 8 pm. Wildlife Scary Park

"Trash or
Treat" will take place on Saturday at four Peoria locations with a Litter pick-up from 10:30 am - Noon. Staff volunteers, approximately 170 Bradley students, neighborhood associations and other residents will pick up litter to help prepare for Halloween. Participants will be given a tour of Peoria neighborhoods, historic sites, public art and recreational areas before picking up litter around the Proctor Center, Glendale, Renaissance Park Community Association on West Main Street

The Fall into Reading Festival
