The Sun Foundation's 26th Annual Peoria Clean Water Celebration begins on Sunday at 4 pm outside of the Gateway Building (located at 200 NE Water St. in Peoria) with the Parade of Waters and Native American Blessing of the Waters by Jimmy Lakota and Brian Fox Ellis. On Sunday evening beginning at 5:30 pm, dinner will take place at Trailside Event Center (located at 4416 North Prospect in Peoria Heights) featuring keynote speaker, Marcus Eriksen, discussing Plastic Debris from Rivers to the Sea (this event is sold out). Then on Monday, the celebration continues at the Peoria Civic Center with a conference for middle and high school students along with the general public with keynote sessions with Marcus Eriksen plus smaller breakout sessions, streams and interactive exhibits throughout the day. The 18th District Congressional Art Show continues at the Peoria Public Library Main Library Gallery (located at 107 NE Monroe St. in Peoria)  Monday through Saturday from 9 am - 6 pm through April 25. Congressman Darin LaHood will announce the first place winner who will have their work exhibited in the U.S. Capitol for one year. Admission is free. The GoodSkills Active Careers Workshop will take place tonight (Thursday) at Goodwill Commons (located at 2319 E War Memorial Dr. in Peoria) from 4 - 5:30 pm. A Public Meeting discussing the City of Peoria's Credit and Grant Manual for the Stormwater Utility will take place at ICC North Auditorium (located at 5407 N University St, Peoria) tonight (Thursday) from 6 - 7 pm. CityLink will celebrate its 10th Annual Passenger Appreciation Day to honor Jerome Lilly by providing free rides to passengers all day on Friday on fixed routes. The Gerald M. Brookhart Arts in Education Spring Celebration will present student performances at the Peoria Courthouse Plaza (located at 324 Main St. in downtown Peoria) Monday - Friday through May 18 from 11 am - 1:30 pm. Showcasing fine arts and applied arts programs of over 100 schools in seven counties including Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, Marshall, Fulton, Henry and McLean, over 12,000 students and 400 teachers participate featuring over 250 performances. Hands Across the Courthouse will take place at the Peoria County Courthouse Plaza on Friday beginning at Noon. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and this is the 11th year that Youth Services Network Panel has hosted the event to draw attention to the more than 1,000 pending child abuse and neglect cases in Peoria County. Advocates and front-line officials will speak about the importance of child abuse prevention and participants are encouraged to wear blue to show their support. The 6th Annual Kick Abuse at Kickapoo 5K Trail Run and Fun Walk will take place on Saturday beginning at 8:30 am at Kickapoo Creek Winery (located at 6605 N Smith Rd. in Edwards) through the vineyard and fields. The Kids Fun Run for children 10 and under will start immediately after the finish of the 5K. Cost is $30 per adults, $25 for students for either the run or walk, $10 for the Kids Fun Run and $8 for children under 3 years. Participants over 21 will receive three free wine tastings, and those under 21 will receive a ticket for Kona Ice. Brunch is available after the race for $10. The 14th Annual International Fair will be held in the Illinois Central College Peoria campus Student Center on Saturday from Noon - 3 pm.
