This Moment in Time will take place at Northwoods Community Church (located at 10700 N. Allen Rd. in Peoria) beginning at 7 pm Tuesday, Dec. 18 through Friday, December 21, also at 3 pm & 7 pm on Saturday, December 22 and at 11 am, 3 pm & 7 pm on Sunday, December 23. A Nature Art Show and Sale will take place at Forest Park Nature Center (located at 5809 N Forest Park Dr. in Peoria Heights) through New Year's Eve on Mondays through Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm and Sundays from 1 to 5 pm (except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). Featuring a diversity of media and unique artwork all created by local artists, items available include original nature-related photographs, paintings, woodcarvings, handmade jewelry and more. Folepi's Winter Wonderland opens tomorrow (Thursday) night through New Year's Eve at the VFW Post 2078 Park off Springfield Road (located at 123 Par 3 Lane in East Peoria). The drive-through electric park is the Festival of Lights' signature event featuring the majority of the Parade of Lights floats and many other lighted displays. Hours are 5 - 9 pm Sundays through Thursdays and 5 - 11 pm on Fridays & Saturdays. Cost is $10 for cars, $30 small bus (party, shuttle, mini & school), and $150 for full size buses. The 131st Annual Santa Claus Parade will take place in Downtown Peoria on Friday beginning at 10:15 am. Featuring costumed characters, novelty walking units, horse units and decorated floats, the parade will get you in the holiday spirit and delight children. The Excavator Express Santa Luncheon will take place at the Caterpillar Visitors Center in downtown Peoria after the Santa Claus parade on Friday from Noon to 2 pm. The 28th Annual FOLEPI River Trail Classic will take place on the River Trail of Illinois on Saturday beginning at 8:30 am with a non-competitive walk and at 9 am with a competitive run.
