The 2019 Upper Great Lakes Regional Figure Skating
Championships continues at the Peoria Civic Center and Owens Center through Sunday. Hosted by the Heart of Illinois Skating Club, the top 4 skaters at the Juvenile through Senior levels qualify to compete in November at the Midwestern Sectional Championship where the top four skaters at each level advance to the 2019 U.S. Figure Skating National Championships. The Whiskeydaddle is a series of races
and contests with an old-fashioned theme and will take place throughout Peoria beginning on Saturday at 8 am with the 5k race & again on Sunday with the marathons and relay races beginning at 7:25 am on the Peoria riverfront.
