Brookhart Arts In Education Spring Celebration continues at the Peoria County Courthouse Plaza from 11 am - 1:30 pm on Friday and weekdays through May 17. Celebrating the talents of over 12,000 students from 100 schools from pre-K -12th grade from seven Central Illinois counties who will perform, exhibit and demonstrate their talents in the fine and applied arts. 27th Annual Peoria Jaycees International Beer Festival begins on Friday at Peoria Dozer Park in downtown Peoria from 6 - 10 pm. Featuring tastings of over 300 brews from all around the world plus 4 live music, tickets for the Friday night event are $20 in advance or $25 at the door including samples of food from local restaurants. Foundation's 27th Annual Peoria Clean Water Celebration begins on Sunday at 4 pm outside of the Gateway Building (located at 200 NE Water St. in Peoria) with the Parade of Waters and Native American Blessing of the Waters by Jimmy Lakota and Brian Fox Ellis. On Sunday evening beginning at 5:30 pm, dinner will take place at Contemporary Art Center of Peoria (located at 305 Southwest Water Street in Peoria) featuring keynote speaker and sustainability advocate Hannah Testa.
Then on Monday, the celebration continues at the Peoria Civic Center with a conference for middle and high school students along with the general public with keynote sessions with Testa plus smaller breakout sessions, streams and interactive exhibits throughout the day.
