Clay is the most primitive art form of human kind. Get to know it in this summer class and learn about the massive potential clay holds, while having fun with it! We will start by making hanging tiles, then we will move on to hand
building mugs and pet dishes. You will be able to take turns trying out the pottery wheel. I will also demonstrate how to build sculptural forms like plants and animals. By the end, you will have a few small projects to take home. All levels welcome, no prior experience with clay is necessary. Make sure to wear casual clothes that can get muddy! Snacks will be served.

Beginner Pottery Wheel Throwing
Summer Camp for ages 14-18

Get on a wheel and learn how to spin a lump of clay into pottery. You will learn the basics of wheel-throwing and make a set of functional mugs, bowls, plates, and/or pet dishes. You will also learn about making textures and markings in the surface of the clay.
Come get your hands muddy! Snacks will be served.

The Peoria Art Guild is excited to offer a spot for you again at this year's Fine Art Fair. You will be provided a tent with a 6-foot table and two chairs. Since the fair is a juried art fair we do not allow sales of any art at the fair, but you are invited to showcase your organization throughout the weekend. We have 20 available spots on a first-come, first- served basis. You will share a tent with another organization and
receive a limited number of free passes for your booth sitters.

This year we will be charging $30 to cover the cost of table and tent rentals. We would be thrilled to have you!
