The 2019 Heart of Illinois Fair continues at Expo Gardens (located at 1601 West Northmoor Road in Peoria) through Sunday. Attractions include Oscar the Robot, the ninja experience, wine tasting, a celebrity classic car display, dog shows, a carnival, live entertainment, truck and tractor pulls, a demolition derby and much more. Ragtime The Musical continues at the Corn Stock Theatre Tent (Iocated in upper Bradley Park) through Saturday beginning at 7:30 pm nightly. The Tony Award winning musical uses song to weave together stories of early twentieth-century New York from three very different perspectives: African Americans in Harlem, immigrants from eastern Europe and upper-class suburban white Protestants. The differences of these groups are bridged and transcended by the popular music of the era. The Illinois Shakespeare Festival continues with Caesar at at the ISU Center for Performing Arts Theatre (located at 400 W. Beaufort St. in Normal) tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 pm and on Sunday at 2 pm.  As You Like It will be presented on Friday at 8 pm and Pride and Prejudice will be presented on Saturday at 8 pm at Ewing Theatre (located at 48 Sunset Rd in Bloomington) at 8 pm. The Peoria Riverfront Museum's Giant Screen Theatre will present a free screening of the movie Apollo 11: First Steps Edition on Friday beginning at 10 am. A part of the Museum's 50th anniversary of NASA's real-life moments of humankind's first steps on the moon, in the documentary, the filmmakers reconstruct the exhilarating final moments of preparation, liftoff, landing and return of this historic mission.
