Moon is now open at the Peoria Riverfront Museum and runs through November 10. It features a one-of-a-kind 13-foot (4-meter) diameter illuminated moon made especially for the museum by UK artist Luke Jerram. Lit from within, the giant moon displays exacting 120-dpi detailed imagery of the lunar surface created by NASA imagery. In addition, there are many interesting

Sculpture Walk
Peoria offers free docent led tours of the 9 sculptures that are on display for 12 months on Washington Street between State and Fulton every Saturday through October 26. A 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will take place at the Peoria Civic
Center on Sunday with registration beginning at 8:30 am. Hosted by the local National Fallen Firefighter Foundation (NFFF) and sponsored by Paul Davis Inc. the stair climb begins at 10 am. A way to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters, police, and EMS who selflessly gave their lives,each participant pays tribute to an FDNY firefighter, police officer, or EMS by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Cost is $35 to participate and registration is limited to 343
