Annual Historic Springdale Cemetery Tours on Saturday & Sunday
 
Walk through a section of Springdale Cemetery to see actor portrayals of five different prominent Peorians from the past. This year's characters are Rolan Johnson, Arthur Storts, Adrian Hinton Jr., Theo Kenyon & Ellen Gaiusha Smith.  Shows are at 3 & 5 pm each day and continue next Friday at 5:30 for a twilight tour and Saturday & Sunday at 3 and 5 pm.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Spoon River Drive This Weekend & Next Weekend
 
The Drive will take place in the Fulton County towns of Astoria, Avon, Bernadotte, Canton, Cuba, Duncan Mills, Ellisville, Farmington, Ipava, Lewistown, Orchard Mills, Smithfield, St. David and Vermont - more than 100 miles in total.  Local businesses as well as vendors will have unique arts & crafts plus food and beverages.
 
 
 
 
Spider Hill Opens on Saturday Night
 
Featuring three attractions, Massacre Mansion & Trail of Terror and Zombie Invasion Final Chapter, this year's Zombie Invasion is family friendly (no paintballs) and suitable for all ages. Spider Hill runs Fridays & Saturdays through October.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Schlachtfest at Hickory Grove Park on Sunday
 
Featuring German dinners and live German music by the Ratskellar Brummer’s, Lindenhof Echoes and Vogel Music, dinners will include sides and sandwiches will also be available. A German Car Cruis’n will also be included in the event.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Brand New Haunted House Opens Tomorrow
 
The new Aura Haunted House runs Fridays & Saturdays through October at the Old Peoria State Hospital in Bartonville.  According to stories and eyewitness accounts, including paranormal investigations, the ghosts of some of the people who have passed on still roam the hallways there.
