Illinois Shakespeare Festival Continues Saturday and Sunday at Ewing Theatre |
On Saturday, Twelfth Night tells the classic Shakespearian
story of four Athenians who run away to the forest only to have Puck
the fairy make both of the boys fall in love with the same girl.
On Sunday, the world premiere version of the beloved novel Sense and
Sensibility follows the Dashwood sisters as they navigate the rules
of 19th century courtship while undergoing an abrupt shift in
circumstances that alters their fortunes, their prospects, and their

Peoria Area German-American Society's Volkfest is Sunday at Hickory Grove Park |
The event will feature nagelspielen (a German nail game), soccer, a German gift tent with imported items from Germany, a 50/50 raffle, and a shooting tent plus a kids play area along with live entertainment provided by Eddie Korosa from Chicago, the Ratskellar Brummers, and the Lindenhof Echoes. You'll also be able to purchase full German dinners, sandwiches and Bavarian pretzels plus German beers and a cash bar. |
