Illinois Shakespeare Festival Concludes This Weekend at Ewing Theatre
 
Catch all three shows in this year's Festival in its final weekend at the beautiful Ewing Theatre in Bloomington.  The Festival features pre-show entertainment plus food trucks most nights so you can dine in the courtyard or on the lawn before the shows.

Jersey Boys Opens Friday at Eastlight Theatre
 
The story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons features performances of chart-topping hits including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Dawn,” and “My Eyes Adored You,”. The show runs this weekend and next Wednesday through Saturday.
 
 
 
 
AGO Peoria Chapter's First Summer Concert is Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian
 
Dr. Jon Giblin and Mr. Adam Gerik will kick off the series. Giblin’s performance will include “Animal Parade” by Iain Farrington, a contemporary British composer.  Gerik’s portion will include selections from Dom Paul Benoit’s “60 Devotional Pieces for Organ on Modal Themes” as well as other selections by Alec Rowley, Healey Willan and others.  Admission is free.
 
 
 
 
Nine the Musical Opens Friday at Corn Stock Theatre
 
The story of celebrated but impetuous film director Guido Contini is in production of his latest film: a musical version of the Casanova story, and suffers a midlife crisis. One by one, women from his past and present – including his mother, his wife, his mistress, and his leading lady – haunt, instruct, scold, seduce and encourage him until he finally learns to grow up. The show runs this weekend and next Wednesday through Saturday.

The German American Society's Brat Fest is Sunday at Hickory Grove Park
 
The family-friendly event will feature German foods, live entertainment by Keith Zweifel and his band from Wisconsin plus Rhinemaidens and the Rathskellar Brummers along with activities including a Muscle Car, Hot Rod, and Customized Motorcycle Cruis’n, a Stein Holding competition, Nagelspielen (German nail game) plus the playground will be open.
