| The Illinois Shakespeare Festival Continues This Weekend |
|
A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be
presented on Saturday and The Importance of Being Earnest will be
presented on Sunday at Ewing Theatre in Bloomington. Season and
individual tickets are now available. Hamlet will open with a
preview performance on Friday, July 11. |

| Volksfest is Sunday at Hickory Grove Park |
|
Featuring full German dinners including bratwurst, Heidelburgers, porksicles, German potato salad, and more will be available along with activities including nagelspielen (a German nail game), soccer, a German gift tent with imported items from Germany plus a kids play area. Also enjoy live entertainment provided by Eddie Korosa from Chicago. German and domestic beer, soft drinks and a cash bar will also be available for purchase. |

| Red White and Boom Fireworks on Friday on the Peoria Riverfront |
| Featuring live music by Kickapoo Junction on the Backroads Saloon Stage in Liberty Park at 6 pm, the fireworks start at approximately 9:30 pm. |

| Enjoy the Peoria Fireworks from Peoria Historical Society's Flanagan House |
| An alternative to the riverfront fireworks is the Peoria Historical Society's Flanagan House where you can see the fireworks from the Flanagan House Museum lawn. Bring your own seating or blankets to view the downtown fireworks and enjoy popcorn and beverages available for purchase. |
