| The Illinois Shakespeare Festival Continues This Weekend |
|
Hamlet opens with a preview performance
on Friday and its official opening night on Saturday. A Midsummer
Night's Dream will be presented on Sunday. All shows take
place at at Ewing Theatre in Bloomington with season and individual
tickets now available. |

The classic musical of Dorothy's quest to return to Kansas with the aid of her new-found friends and the Wizard in the land of Oz will be presented at Dunlap High School's auditorium Friday through Sunday and then Wednesday through Saturday of next week. |

| Ruth the Musical on Saturday & Sunday at Five Points Washington |
|
An original work of musical theatre by
local composer David Getz, the show will feature a pit orchestra,
conducted by Getz himself, along with an expanded choir. Local vocal
professionals Courtney Huffman Frye (Ruth), Alison Meuth (Naomi),
and Daniel Megli (Boaz) lead a powerful cast to tell the timeless

| 5K Wine Run for Heller Center for Kids with Cancer is Saturday |
| The race takes place at Mackinaw Valley Winery through the scenery and landscape of the vineyard and winery. Registration includes a t-Shirt, a shatterproof and collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a bottle stopper and a pour of wine at the end of the race. |
