Corn Stock's Oklahoma Continues at the CST Theatre Center

This production is a stripped back staging of Rogers and Hammerstein’s very first musical which tells the tale of a confident cowboy who competes with a sulky mysterious farmhand for the honor of taking a pretty farm woman to a dance. It highlights the darker aspects of the human experience while continuing to blend in familiar dance ensemble numbers which fans of the 1940s Golden Age classic know and love.  Performances run through August 31.

Mackinaw Valley Vineyard's Annual Grape Stomp and Harvest Festival is Sunday

Featuring wine tasting all day, food and DJ Vinny playing “stompin rock”, the band Shipwreck Kelly playing throughout the day plus a “Lucy” Look-a-Like contest, there will also be ice cream and cookies available from Gramma Nana’s Ice Cream & Cookies and food concessions by “Tony’s on Wheels” from Haddad’s Lebanese Restaurant.
