| Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is Saturday |
|
Hosted by the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 31 Peoria, the 2025 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will take place all day. Simply leave a bag of nonperishable food by your mailbox prior to your normal delivery time and your letter carrier will handle the rest. All donated food stays within the local community. |

| Susan G. Komen Memorial More Than Pink Walk is Saturday |
| Starting at the Metro Center, the race begins with the opening ceremony at 8 am. There is no fee to register and participants who raise a minimum of $100 will receive a commemorative event t-shirt. |

| Worldwide Day of Play at Glen Oak Park on Saturday |
| Featuring Daniel Tiger, Barnyard Discovers, face painting, a rock wall, bounce houses, carnival games, a community & children’s resource fair, a Girl Scouts flag ceremony, and the Be Anything Career Expo. The Peoria Zoo and Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum will offer reduced admissions plus the Touch a Truck will be on hand with a helicopter, the Peoria Fire Department, the Peoria Police Department, the Peoria Sheriff’s Department, Peoria Animal Control, a CityLink Bus plus a WW2 Army Jeep. Food Trucks will also be available. |

| The 2025 Arts in Education Spring Celebration continues at the Peoria Riverfront Museum and the Caterpillar Visitor's Center and continues through May 16. And Encore 2025, the Morton Civic Chorus annual concert will take place May 22 - 25 at the Bertha Frank Performing Arts Center in Morton. |
