The Peoria Chiefs take on the Cedar Rapids Kernels in their season opener beginning at 6:30 pm tonight (Thursday) at O'Brien Field.
The Chiefs will also face Cedar Rapids on Friday at 6:30 pm and Saturday at 1 pm. Tickets are $10 and $7 and are available at the Chiefs Box Office, by calling 680-4008 or online at HERE.  Season tickets and other ticket packages are also available.
Run for Your Wife continues this weekend at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sundays, doors & the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Prices are $30 for Thursdays, $32 for Fridays and Sunday brunch and $34 for Saturdays. An Owl Prowl will be held at Wildlife Prairie State Park tonight (Thursday) from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Geared toward ages 6 years and older, the cost for the event is $10 for members and $15 non-members or a family of four with membership is $35. Wildlife Prairie State Park Bison Grounds Blessing Ceremony will begin at 10 am Saturday at the Park. Witness the sacred Native American Ceremony of blessing the Park's bison and their summer pasture. The ceremony marks the release of the Bison and Elk into the main pasture for the remainder of the season. The Bison and Elk public feeding will also resume at 1 pm. Admission to the Park is $6.50 for ages 13 & up $6.50, $4.50 for ages 4-12 $4.50 and free for ages 3 & under and Park members.
Morton High School presents its spring musical, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in the Bertha Frank Performing Arts Center at 7 pm tonight (Thursday), Friday and Saturday & at 2 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students & children and are available at the door.

A Gala Art Auction and Tipperary Treasures to benefit the Friends of Clonmel will take place beginning at 5:30 pm on Friday at the Cornerstone Building. Including a live auction, silent auction plus wine and cheese tasting, the live auction will include almost 200 affordable prints by well-known artists such as Renoir, Picasso, and more. A Stations of the Cross liturgical servicewill take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in downtown Peoria beginning on Friday at 7:15 pm. "O Crux", an original composition by Dr. John Orfe, internationally acclaimed musician and Yale graduate, principal keyboardist for the New York-based orchestra "Alarm Will Sound" and the composer-in-residence to the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, will be performed at the 12th station, the Crucifixion.
