The Mid-America Antique Show will be held at Expo Gardens located on Northmoor Road in Peoria (near Richwoods High School) on Friday from 11 am - 7 pm, Saturday from 11 am - 6 pm and Sunday from 11 am - 4 pm. Contemporary Arts Center's Live at the Five Spot will host Preston Jackson & Friends on Friday from 5:30 - 7:30 pm in the Preston Jackson Gallery. Admission for members is $7, non-members are $10.
Salsa at CAC will also take place on Friday with a dance lesson from 8:30 - 9:30 pm followed by open dancing until 12:30 am. Admission is $3 for members, $6 for non-members.
Etta May will perform at the Jukebox Comedy Club this weekend at 8 pm & 10:30 pm on both Friday & Saturday. Tickets are $16 or $15 with cash for all shows except the Friday 10:30 pm show, which is $13 or $12 with cash. World's Toughest Bulls and Broncs: Outlaws of Rodeo Tour will be held in the Peoria Civic Center Arena beginning at 7:30 pm on both Friday & Saturday nights. Tickets are $20, $27 and $37 and are available at the Peoria Civic Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and online at Ticketmaster.com Kids 12 and under are ½ price. On Saturday, all kids get a free cowboy hat, compliments of Taco Bell. Come early for the free pre-show activities.

Eagle Day at Forest Park Nature Center is an appreciation of these birds of prey as the Peoria Audubon Society and Forest Park Nature Center offer a presentation and tours to view Bald Eagles along the river on Saturday from 9 am - 5 pm. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
Tour the Terminal is a sneak peak of the General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport before it opens on Saturday from 11 am - 4 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Hot dogs and popcorn will be available for sale plus a drawing will be held to award roundtrip tickets to an Allegiant Air destination (Phoenix/Mesa, Tampa/St. Pete or Las Vegas). The Salute to the Snuggie Downtown Pub Crawl will take place in downtown Pekin on Saturday from 6 pm - 11 pm. Sport your snuggie and enjoy an evening of fun with stops at downtown Pekin establishments. For more information, call 353-3100.
Fiddler Emmy Holmes-Hicks leads the Rusty Pickup Band for Old Time Dance, an evening of fun on Saturday at 7 pm at the Shore Acres Clubhouse located at 100 Park Blvd in Chillicothe. No experience, partner or special outfit needed - just bring a smile and comfortable shoes.
The Blue Ridge Family Band invites area music lovers and history buffs to join them in a recreation of a farmhouse parlor for an afternoon of toe-tapping string band music coupled with stories beginning at 2 pm Sunday at the Shore Acres Clubhouse. Barry Cloyd with Celtricity will perform at Forest Park Nature Center on Saturday from 7 - 9 pm. Barry is a Midwestern-based singer/songwriter who has spent over four decades perfecting a guitar and vocal style. The concert will also feature Tom "TJ" Jones, Bruce Bergethon and Tony Crowe. Admission is free, but donations are always accepted.
Heartland Festival Orchestra will present "A New Year's Greeting" at Five Points Performing Arts Center in Washington on Saturday beginning at 7:30 pm. The concert will benefit the Alzheimer's Association, Central Illinois Chapter. The Wedding of a Lifetime Bridal Show will be held in the Peoria Civic Center Ballroom with doors opening at 10 am Sunday with shows at 11 am and 1:30 pm. Tickets are $8 and are available at Bobbie's Bridal/Savvi Formalwear in Sheridan Village Peoria and Bloomington and at Bridal Palace/DeJure Formalwear in Peoria and Morton.
The Xtreme Spirit National Cheerleading Championships will be held in the Peoria Civic Center Exhibit Hall on Sunday with doors opening at Noon and the competition beginning at 1 pm. Admission is $10 at the door.
Sesame Street Live: Elmo's Green Thumb will will be held in the Peoria Civic Center Theater on Tuesday at 7 pm and Wednesday at 10:30 am and 7 pm. Tickets are $10.50, $15 and $20. A limited number of $30 Gold Circle and $55 Sunny Seats are also available. Sunny Seats feature premium seat locations and a pre-show meet and greet with two Sesame Street Live friends.
